Thank you Bermuda
It’s been a magical two and a half years for our team as we’ve made Bermuda our home. From the moment Bermuda was announced as the venue for the 35th America’s Cup you have embraced our team, our friends, families and supporters and made us feel at home.
Over these past six weeks in particular you have shown the world your hospitality and put on one of the greatest America’s Cups in the long history of the event.
We would like to thank everyone involved, from the highest levels of government through to the volunteers who made everyone’s experience at the America’s Cup Village so memorable.
Of course, the result on the race course was not what we hoped for.
But we offer our sincere congratulations to Emirates Team New Zealand. We always knew would be in for a battle. This was a very strong group of challengers we were facing and Glenn Ashby, Peter Burling and rest of the Kiwi team sailed a flawless regatta. We threw everything we could at them and they never buckled. They are worthy champions.
We will leave Bermuda grateful for the hospitality you have extended our families and humbled by your support.
Thank you Bermuda. You will always be a part of our team.
